CD Clinic provides counseling and testing for various contagious or communicable diseases to all ages under age 65.

* Hepatitis B Antibody Test is a blood test for which the client must pay prior to service.

* Hepatitis C Screening is a free blood test, provided to us by the State.
* The CD Clinic also provides testing and treatment for latent or active tuberculosis (TB). Charges for services are on a sliding fee scale but all TB medications are given to the client without a charge.

* Testing for HIV can be done confidentially (like all other LCHHS testing) or anonymously (client does not give his/her name to LCCHS, the client is given a number for identification) if the client prefers. There is no charge for HIV testing, but donations are always welcomed.

* It also offers testing for males and treatment for both males and females (and their partners) who think they have symptoms of or have been exposed to a sexually transmitted disease (STD). STD treatment is provided at the time of diagnosis with medications kept at the clinic specifically for that purpose. Charges for services are on a sliding fee scale but all STD medications are given to the client without charge.

Interpreting services for Spanish-only speaking clients are available on-site.  All CD Clinic services are by appointment at the Newport Public Health Office.
